How is that possible? As a comparison, on Hangouts, the messages would have populated after the tablet rebooted if for some reason the app was being rogue. Everything was syncing but then in one thread with 2 iphone users, one persons message only got delivered to the phone and not the ipad-and it never came to the ipad after that, not after a reboot or anything. For example, I had it on my iphone, worked great, and then I put it on my ipad. I understand its not sms, and I grasp the fallback sms and that it is more like instant messaging, but heres where I get confused. So what exactly is iMessage? Honestly, I dont even know where to start with my questions. So there really is no missing or floating ones out there-if they were sent and you sign into the app you will get them.or see them, if they are old, new whatever. It seems Hangouts is a little more like "accessing" your messages and what I mean is that you sign into it, either in a browser or app, and they are all there-going back forever and old or new ones will populate as they exist on Googles Server.
I was a long time Android user (about 4 years) and switched over to iPhone about 6 months ago (and LOVE it!) I am pretty savvy in terms of tech, but unfortunately no one else I know is-as a result no one can explain to me exactly how iMessage works and being fairly new to it, I have a lot of questions, I'm hoping some friendly soul here could shed some light: /r/iOSSetups for iOS wallpapers, setups, and apps./r/iPhoneXSMax for XS Max specific issues./r/AppleSwap if you want to trade devices!.
